A Real Woman Would
By J.D. Cooper
This man once said, "Black women are too strong for their own good!
They get a man and they don't step down like a real woman should".
Well, I'm a real woman and if I had a real man oh,
this real woman would…
place God first and take prayer seriously
to give our life some stability.
A real woman would…
Know that relationships need things.
She would also put on the table whatever she had to bring
and never be afraid that her deficiencies would appear diminishing.
I have love, respect, faith and loyalty
I leave at the gate a sprit that's domineering.
A real woman would…
Attract to her a spirit full of omnipotent wisdom.
A man who can provide and is not afraid to give freedom
Bring with you a love that will endure a life that's everlasting.
Only then will I submit myself to the one who is deserving
Don't worry about who didn't give or how much you can get.
Don't try to change me know that no one is perfect
Come willing to work and watch what you say and do
Do unto me as you would have me do unto you.
A real woman would…
show her love, creativity, integrity, and unity.
Plus adjoin their universal spirituality
that intimate soul that dwells in deep within each of us.
A real woman…
would be able to retain vitality with old time remedies.
I speak my mind, I go to church, and at times I act tough.
But to a real man all of these qualities would be just enough.
Don't get me wrong I had to be strong
A real woman does what she has to do.
A real woman would…
Faithful allow her spirit to choose a real man to give her heart too.
